The historic town of Hoi An in the central province of Quang Nam will hold its fourth annual kite competition this Saturday.
The event,
to be sponsored by the Victoria Hoi An Beach
Resort & Spa, is expected to attract 130
participants from places such as Hoi An, Da
Nang City and Cambodia’s Siem Reap Province.
The competition, due to start at 1 p.m.,
will award a VND6 million (US$370) first
prize; two second prizes of VND3 million
($185) each; three third prizes of VND2
million ($123) each; two “impressive and
unique” prizes of VND1.5 million ($92.5)
each; and four consolation prizes of VND1
million ($61.69) each.
The travel expenses of participants will
also be covered.
